Fiona’s First Side Table
Olive ash and sycamore
The culmination of my six month course at Farnham School of Furniture Making is this side table made of ash and sycamore. Using both machines and hand tools, there is a tonne of learning experience wrapped up in these mortise and tenon joints and handcut dovetails. From choosing which bits of the board I wanted, to the final oiling has been quite a journey and hopefully it will continue into a new career!
